Publishing Ethics Statement

The Journal of Intelligent Drug Discovery and Genomic Medicine (IJIDDGM) is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency and ethical conduct throughout the research and publication process.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality and integrity of their work. Submitted manuscripts must present research honestly and must not contain fabricated, falsified, plagiarized or deliberately misleading material.

Authors must appropriately acknowledge the work of others, disclose relevant competing interests and funding sources, and provide accurate information regarding authorship and contributions.

2. Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made meaningful scholarly contributions to the work and who accept responsibility for the published article. Guest, honorary and ghost authorship are not acceptable.

3. Research Involving Humans or Animals

Research involving human participants, identifiable human information, biological materials or animals must comply with applicable ethical, institutional and legal requirements. Where required, authors must obtain appropriate ethical approval and informed consent and report this information in the manuscript.

4. Genomic and Clinical Data

Research involving genomic, clinical or other potentially identifiable information must respect participant privacy, confidentiality, informed consent and applicable data-governance requirements. Authors are responsible for ensuring that data are collected, processed, shared and reported appropriately.

5. Data and Image Integrity

Fabrication, falsification and inappropriate manipulation of data or research images are prohibited. Adjustments to scientific images must not obscure, eliminate or misrepresent information contained in the original material.

6. Computational and AI-Based Research

Authors reporting computational, artificial intelligence or machine learning research should describe their methods and validation procedures with sufficient transparency for appropriate scientific evaluation. Computational predictions must not be represented as experimentally or clinically established findings unless supported by appropriate evidence.

7. Competing Interests

Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose financial, professional, personal or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing their work, assessment or editorial decisions.

8. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers should provide objective, constructive and timely assessments. Submitted manuscripts and associated materials must be treated as confidential. Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal, professional or financial advantage.

Reviewers should disclose relevant competing interests and decline assignments where they cannot provide an impartial assessment.

9. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating submissions fairly and independently on the basis of scholarly merit, relevance, methodological quality and ethical compliance. Decisions must not be influenced by an author's nationality, institutional affiliation, commercial considerations or ability to pay publication charges.

Editors must protect the confidentiality of submissions and appropriately manage competing interests.

10. Plagiarism and Redundant Publication

Plagiarism, inappropriate text reuse and redundant or duplicate publication are not acceptable. Submissions may be assessed using similarity-detection tools where available, with editorial judgement used to interpret identified similarities.

11. Generative Artificial Intelligence

Generative AI systems cannot qualify as authors. Authors remain responsible for all submitted material and must comply with IJIDDGM's Generative AI Policy, including applicable disclosure and confidentiality requirements.

12. Research and Publication Misconduct

Concerns involving plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, inappropriate authorship, unethical research, undisclosed competing interests, manipulation of the publication process or other potential misconduct will be assessed on the available evidence. The journal may request explanations, original data or other supporting documentation when necessary.

13. Corrections and Retractions

When significant errors or integrity concerns are identified after publication, IJIDDGM may issue a correction, retraction or other appropriate publication notice. Such actions are intended to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

14. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly and ethical considerations. Commercial interests, advertising, sponsorship or publication charges must not determine editorial outcomes.
