Errata and Corrigenda

The Journal of Intelligent Drug Discovery and Genomic Medicine (IJIDDGM) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When significant errors are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate steps to correct the published record transparently.

1. Purpose of Corrections

Corrections are issued when an error affects the accuracy, interpretation or reliability of a published article but does not invalidate the work as a whole.

2. Errata

An erratum may be issued when a significant error introduced during the journal's publication or production process is identified after publication.

3. Corrigenda

A corrigendum may be issued when authors identify a significant error or omission in their published article that requires correction while the principal findings and conclusions remain valid.

4. Examples of Correctable Errors

Corrections may address significant errors involving author information, figures, tables, numerical values, methodological descriptions, data presentation, references, supplementary information or other aspects of the published article.

5. Minor Errors

Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the scientific meaning, interpretation or bibliographic integrity of an article may not require a formal correction notice.

6. Correction Procedure

Authors, readers, reviewers or editors who identify a potential error should contact the journal's editorial office with sufficient information to evaluate the concern. The editorial team will assess the nature and significance of the error and may request clarification or supporting documentation from the authors.

7. Publication of Corrections

Where a formal correction is required, IJIDDGM will publish an identifiable correction notice that clearly describes the relevant error and correction and is linked to the original article where technically possible.

8. Errors Affecting the Reliability of an Article

If an identified problem materially undermines the reliability, validity or integrity of the article rather than representing a correctable error, the journal may consider other appropriate post-publication action, including retraction or an editorial notice, following an appropriate investigation.

9. Preservation of the Scholarly Record

IJIDDGM seeks to preserve the published scholarly record while ensuring that readers are clearly informed of substantive corrections and other post-publication developments affecting an article.
