Authors' Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original scholarly work to the Journal of Intelligent Drug Discovery and Genomic Medicine (IJIDDGM). Submissions should fall within the journal's scope and make a meaningful contribution to drug discovery, genomic medicine, computational biology, pharmaceutical sciences, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, multi-omics or precision medicine.

1. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written clearly in English and should present the research objectives, methodology, results, discussion and conclusions in a logical and scientifically rigorous manner. The title should be concise and informative, and the abstract should provide a clear summary of the study.

Authors should provide appropriate keywords and ensure that tables, figures, equations and supplementary materials are clearly labelled and referenced in the manuscript.

2. Article Types

IJIDDGM accepts the following article types:

  1. Original Research Articles
  2. Review Articles
  3. Short Communications
  4. Technical Notes
  5. Editorials
  6. Case Reports / Precision Medicine Applications

3. Double-Anonymous Peer Review

IJIDDGM operates a double-anonymous peer-review process. Authors must prepare the manuscript so that their identities are not revealed to reviewers.

Author names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgements and other identifying information should not appear in the anonymized manuscript submitted for review. Authors should also remove identifying information from document properties and file metadata.

4. Originality and Previous Publication

Submissions must represent original work that has not been previously published and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for appropriately acknowledging and citing all sources used in their work.

5. Research Ethics and Informed Consent

Research involving human participants, human biological materials, identifiable human data or animals must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements. Where required, authors should provide details of approval from an appropriate research ethics committee or institutional review board.

For studies involving human participants, informed consent should be obtained where applicable. Authors must take appropriate measures to protect participant confidentiality and privacy, particularly when working with genomic, clinical or other potentially identifiable data.

6. Data, Genomics and Computational Research

Authors should describe datasets, data sources, preprocessing procedures, analytical methods and validation procedures with sufficient detail to support scientific assessment and reproducibility.

For genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic and other omics studies, authors should report relevant experimental and computational procedures, quality-control measures and analytical pipelines where applicable.

Where ethical, legal and confidentiality requirements permit, authors are encouraged to make supporting data, code, models and relevant research materials available through appropriate repositories and to provide accession numbers, persistent identifiers or repository links where applicable.

7. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Studies

Manuscripts involving artificial intelligence or machine learning should clearly describe the datasets, model development procedures, training and validation strategies, evaluation metrics and relevant measures taken to address bias, overfitting and data leakage.

Claims concerning model performance, biological significance, therapeutic potential or clinical utility should be supported by appropriate validation and should not exceed the evidence presented.

8. Computational Drug Discovery and Molecular Modelling

Studies involving molecular docking, molecular dynamics, virtual screening, cheminformatics, drug-target prediction, molecular generation or related computational approaches should provide sufficient methodological information to permit scientific evaluation and, where practicable, reproducibility.

Computational predictions should be interpreted with appropriate caution, and authors should clearly distinguish computational evidence from experimentally or clinically validated findings.

9. Statistical Analysis

Statistical methods should be appropriate for the study design and described with sufficient detail. Authors should report relevant measures of uncertainty, statistical significance and effect estimates where applicable and should avoid unsupported interpretation of statistical findings.

10. Generative Artificial Intelligence

Generative artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity and content of their submissions.

Any substantive use of generative AI in preparing or conducting the research or manuscript should be disclosed in accordance with the journal's Generative AI Policy. Authors must not use generative AI to fabricate, manipulate or misrepresent research data, images, citations or results.

11. Competing Interests

Authors must disclose financial, professional, institutional, personal or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived to influence the research or its interpretation. Where no competing interests exist, authors should state that none are declared.

12. Funding

All sources of financial or material support for the research should be disclosed. Authors should identify relevant funding organisations and grant information where applicable.

13. Authorship

All listed authors should have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the work and should approve the submitted manuscript. Individuals who do not meet appropriate authorship criteria should not be listed as authors. Contributors who assisted with the work but do not qualify for authorship may be acknowledged where appropriate.

14. Figures, Tables and Third-Party Material

Figures and tables should be clear, accurately labelled and directly relevant to the manuscript. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted photographs, figures, datasets or other third-party materials where permission is required.

15. References

References should be accurate, complete and relevant to the manuscript. Authors are responsible for verifying bibliographic information and ensuring that cited sources genuinely support the statements for which they are referenced.

16. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright in their work and grant IJIDDGM and Prime Crest Publishers the right of first publication. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

17. Submission Checklist

Before submitting, authors should ensure that the manuscript complies with these guidelines and with the submission checklist provided during the online submission process.

18. Editorial Assessment

All submissions are initially assessed by the editorial team for relevance to the journal's aims and scope, scholarly quality, ethical compliance and adherence to submission requirements. Manuscripts that satisfy the initial assessment may proceed to peer review. The journal may decline manuscripts that fall outside its scope or do not meet its minimum editorial and scientific standards.
