The Africa Journal of Health and Environmental Law (AJHEL) is committed to making high-quality scholarly research on health, environmental law, human rights, environmental justice, public policy and sustainable development in Africa widely accessible to researchers, practitioners, policymakers, institutions and the public.
AJHEL operates an Open Access publishing model, under which published articles are made available online without subscription or paywall barriers, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.
AJHEL believes that scholarly research addressing matters of public importance should be broadly accessible.
The Journal therefore seeks to remove financial barriers for readers by providing online access to published articles without requiring readers to purchase individual articles or maintain a subscription.
Open Access applies to eligible articles published by AJHEL in accordance with the Journal's applicable licence terms.

AJHEL supports its Open Access publishing model through an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 100 per accepted article/paper.
