Focus and Scope

The Africa Digital Governance and Law Review (ADGLR) is a scholarly peer-reviewed journal published by Prime Crest Publisher. The Journal serves as an outlet for scholarly articles that focus on quality, original, and innovative research into current legal, regulatory, governance, policy, technological, and socio-legal questions of digital transformation in Africa and beyond the African continent. The Journal is dedicated to advancing inter-disciplinary, comparative and trans-national scholarship analyzing the interplay between law, digital technology, governance, institution, society, economic development, human rights, innovation, and public policy. Special emphasis will be placed on research which addresses the experience, challenges, innovations, and developments in law and governance resulting from digital transformation in African jurisdictions.

Specifically, the Journal would particularly welcome submissions that advance novel theory, doctrinal analysis, empirical work, comparative perspective, regulatory studies, policy proposals, or innovative solutions to the complex issues of digital governance and law. Africa Digital Governance and Law Review invite contributions from across the globe and Africa in the effort to contribute to the development of effective, respectful of the rights of people, inclusive, innovative, and accountable digital governance frameworks. By virtue of its specialized emphasis, the Journal strives to facilitate scholarly discussion and cooperation between scholars of law, technology, and governance. It is the Journal’s mission to advance scholarship that is academic, technological, social, and policy-driven in response to the rapid developments in the digital environment.
